Our common knowledge when it comes to finding out your dog's age in human years has been 1:7. Meaning that 1 human year equals 7 dog years. Until now we have divided the median age of humans of 80 years by 12 and therefore come to this conclusion that one human year is 7 dog years.

They came to the conclusion that dogs age faster than humans in the first years and they reach middle age very fast. After that the aging of the dogs slows down fast.
