Quality has changed…

I’ve bought from TP for years. Wrote blogs and included links to them because their single ingredient products were great! Until this past year. Before, in the bulk fish skins pack, there were actual “sticks” of fish skins and my dogs took their time to chew. Now they are small, easily chokeable pieces. My dogs swallow in one gulp rather than chew them. I’ve probably ordered 20+ bags but the ones this year aren’t worth buying anymore. I sent an email asking if they planned to improve the quality (even for a higher price) but got zero response. Due to this I am taking my business elsewhere and removing all my references to them. It’s sad because I greatly prefer to support small businesses.

Dry, cracked, dust

This treat had become a staple for my dogs. I was about to transition my $200/month Greenies & treats budget entirely to this brand. Unfortunately the quality has just degraded so fast over the past year. My dogs used to spend ten minutes chewing one - I was so happy to find a single ingredient product that provided that much enrichment, but then the twists got drier and eventually took only 5 minutes, then just 1 or 2. Now, the bag of twists I received in the mail today was dried, cracked and mostly in dust or shards. Before i opened the outer bag, based on the sound and feel of the contents, i thought it was an order of dried fruit or flowers instead. Biggest disappointment out of a brand in 6 years of buying dog treats. I do appreciate the quick response from customer service for a refund, but ultimately I would have been happy to pay this and more for what the quality used to be.

Blue loves her Codfish rolls!

At our house we call them fish sticks. I will ask Blue, a rescue staff/blue heeler mix, if she wants a fish stick. She dances in excitement. Yes, she does have a little bit of fish breath, but her teeth are clean and she is happy!
